Four
Panel Freestanding Glass Back Walls (Type EP200)

The most popular and
practical choice, offering greatest flexibility for easy
transit and installation is EP200 a four panel freestanding
type, with full height glass support fins, 2.13m high. All
fins are 300mm wide. Walls are constructed of 12mm toughened
glass in accordance with stringent safety standards and
recommended building codes.

Freestanding glass
walls are also available in two panel format- EP100, which
has short intermediate glass fins 600mm high. Special arrangement
are needed for transit and access to accommodate the large
panel size (2.8m x 2.13m), and the weight (250kg per panel).
EP100 is made to special order only.

The Clubwall is a fixed-head alternative to standard
freestanding back walls, and has been developed specifically
for courts with structural lintels above the glass wall.
Clubwalls are supported by narrow section aluminum posts,
rather than glass fins, which also makes them suitable for
use in narrow corridors.

Fitness for Purpose/Performance
Glass walls are to be manufactured and installed in accordance
with the performance standards defined by The World Squash Federation,
in their official squash court specification. These standards
are also applicable to racquetball and any other games where repeated
high impact on glass walls must be sustained without breakage.
The Ellis Pearson Glass wall is approved by The World Squash Federation
as proof of meeting the official standard.
Materials
Glass : 12mm toughened (tempered) glass with all exposed edges
smoothed, and with suitable countersunk holes on the play side.
Exposed corners must be radiused. The lower 600mm of all panels
to have vertical 3mm wide white lines, with 25mm clear space,
applied to the play surface.
Components
Mechanical connections must be provided, designed to integrate
the wall assembly. These must be manufactured from materials wholly
compatible with glass and able to cope with and distribute the
constant stresses applied. All components to be flush with the
play surface and be so designed as to not work loose on constant
use during the life of the wall. There should be no glass to glass,
glass to metal or glass to concrete contact at any time. All joints
must be bonded with silicone compound.
Installation
Glass walls are a specialist item and should be specified separately
from all other glass and window. Installation must be carried
out by trained operatives in accordance with approved procedures.
